Always be alert and especially careful when shopping online. “70% of scams happen when buying goods online from fake websites, adverts and social media. If you are buying from somewhere you have not used before, take extra steps to check the product and seller are legitimate before you pay” Santander.
There are sites out there that display amazing looking outfits and accessories, but when the products are received (after waiting for a long time for them sometimes!) they’re of poor quality. It’s not only frustrating but quite hurtful in fact. To help you spot these awful sites, double-check the domain name as they try to imitate legitimate ones. Also as a general rule of thumb be especially careful when you see sites that use .net or .org, as they’re not used for shopping usually.
If it’s too good to be true then it probably is. You’ve seen this phrase many times but it’s there for a reason as any of us could fall victim of a scam. Sometimes we act on impulse without a thought of whether the seller is legitimate or not, and that’s what the scammers want. They pray for the moment when we let our guards down, let’s not give them that satisfaction.
Enjoy shopping and stay safe, love dana x

- We’re always told to eat our five a day and exercise. What’s overlooked though is the importance of what we feed our minds. I have found that by listening to positive statements or speeches, which can be found on youtube make a huge difference to my outlook on the day ahead.
- Some stress is good, but whatever you do don’t get hung up on the things you can’t control. Sometimes these things have a weird habit of working themselves out. Spend more time thinking about the positives in your life, share laughs with friends.
- Giving is rewarding. With this in mind, do something positive for someone else. This could be anything from taking time out to see a friend who you haven’t seen for ages or even just showing your gratitude to someone who’s been there for you.
- You are stronger than you think you are, so whatever challenges you’re facing remember this; you can and you will overcome them.
- Treat yourself. This is a must for me as it gives me the motivation to complete a given task knowing that I’ve already allocated ‘me time’. This could be anything from enjoying a soak in the bath to having a well deserved fruity cider!
There’s never shame in needing advice or seeking help, this actually shows how strong you are! Someone once said: ‘Suicide doesn’t end the chances of life getting worse. It eliminates the possibility of it ever getting any better’.
1. Bright colours are in, and will almost certainly help you make the statement you want. Something to consider is accessories such as a gold clutch bag that’ll complete this great look.
2. At the other end of the spectrum, you can experiment with neutral colours like a sandy coloured top with a camel tone skirt. A great twist will be to add a blue scarf or shawl.
3. Large sleeves are most definitely in and are a great way in helping you make the statement you want. The larger the better, so don’t hold back and just go for it!
4. Try colours you haven’t experimented with before such as gold. A gold party dress will make a great addition to your wardrobe. Before any parties are booked though, let’s wait and see what happens during these unbelievable times.
5. This autumn tartans and squares are a must-have, either in the form of a dress, skirt or leggings, this style is undoubtedly versatile and a great way of expressing yourself.
I don’t know if you’ve done this but there have been many occasions when I’ve wanted/needed a good looking outfit and after spending what seemed forever on other fashion sites, I couldn’t find anything and that’s not me being picky, honest! There was just so much choice of the same!

Paris has without a doubt got something for everyone and although it’s most famous for being the romantic capital of the world, it has so much more to offer. You can find one of the best views of the city from the Sacré Coeur which is only a ten-minute walk from the Gare du Nord train station. One word of warning though, make sure to wear comfortable shoes! Honest, you’ll thank me for this. I’ve visited Paris a few times, and I’m never bored with it. It’s also a wonderful city to celebrate a special occasion. My husband once treated me to an amazing dinner at Le Ciel de Paris. This elegant restaurant is located in the Montparnasse Tower and doesn’t just boast to have the most mouth-watering food, but the view is also truly out of this world. I would highly recommend eating there in the evening as you’ll have a wonderful view of the Eiffel tower all lit up in its glory, and if you’re there at 10 pm you’ll see the tower sparkle, a great photo opportunity not to be missed!
In the St. Michel area of Paris, through one of the narrow alleyways, we found a great little Latin bar which offered some exquisite cocktails and had the most amazing atmosphere. I really couldn’t just sit there and watch everyone Salsa dance! A great way to finish off the night. See if you can find it!
Whilst you’re in Paris you’ve got to check out Galarie Lafayette Haussmann. A wonderful experience and not just for shopping. This upmarket department store holds a weekly Fashion show every Friday at 3 pm where you’re guaranteed to see the latest trends from the top brands.
If you wanted to maximise your stay in Paris and you’re a Disney fan like me, why not include a day trip to Disneyland?! Make sure to look out for discounted entry park tickets online though.
I have found the most special way to travel to Paris is by Eurostar from London St. Pancras. The journey takes just over two hours and is a seamless and hassle-free experience which takes you from the city centre to city centre. Also, don’t forget the Sacré Couer is not far from the Gare du Nord Eurostar train station.
I would highly recommend checking the latest travel advice and if you’re planning to visit particular venues, make sure to visit their website for more information regarding current restrictions.

I ‘m excited to be sharing some great, yet personal news with you. I’ve become a mother for the first time. Giving birth and becoming a mother has been the most demanding yet rewarding experience ever, and to all the men who think it’s not all that then you’re welcome to give it a go! I swear if God gave them the ability to give birth procreation won’t exist.
I’m so glad I’ve got my body back and the freedom to eat what I like, within reason of course because I can really eat so much! I must now mention that in my last blog I suggested that I liked having a fruity cider at the end of a long week, this of course was never the case whilst I was pregnant. Luckily I’ve got a great husband who, bless him, has tried his best to take the stress away as much as possible. At the end of the day though he can’t breastfeed at 02:43!
Oh by the way when I say I’ve got my body back, I mean my stomach is not as big as it was. And now I’m in between sizes so nothing fits me they’re either too loose or too tight, I can’t fit into anything from before the birth yet. I’m trying to cheat as I’ve got corsets to wear, but I’ll definitely be continuing with my exercises (Or definitely try to!).
What I’ve realised girls is the importance of always looking after ourselves by never neglecting our mental health. Whether you’ve given birth or not, never be afraid to ask for help.
Remember, be you.
Unbelievable as it is, but it’s been thirty years since the ’90s. Do you remember that era? When grunge made an impact on the Fashion industry helped by the rise of bands like Nirvana. However, you’ll be pleased to know that I’m not going to talk about everything that happened during the ’90s, firstly too many to mention and I really don’t wish to bore you out of your mind!
We all know how hard it is to keep up with what’s in and what isn’t, so it all depends on your taste and style. Now is a great opportunity for anyone not to have lived in the ’90s era to try out a completely new look. Or if you were around then, you can check out some outfits for nostalgia’s sake and also, of course, look gorgeous at the same time. Whether you want to experiment wearing bike shorts with a blazer or even a utility dress, it’s completely your call. Pulling off a look requires confidence, so don’t hold back, be you. Another option for you to consider is sheer. It’s making its way into every area, whether you want to wear a see-through dress or maybe a top. It’s your style, so be confident and above all have fun. Best, Dana x
No one can deny this year so far has been the strangest and will most likely be talked about for many years to come. Of course, it’s strange adapting to the different restrictions imposed by governments but on a personal level, it’s a strange and exciting feeling that I’m going to be a new mum any minute now! I originally had plans of holding a small party which was going to be a low key, no fuss celebration. However that’s all out of the window now, so my husband and I have decided on holding a small gathering in the garden instead – fingers crossed it doesn’t rain!
It’s a lovely thought that we’re able to meet family and friends now that restrictions are being lifted, of course whilst adhering to social distancing. It’s a sense of freedom that couldn’t come sooner as the summer months are slowly escaping us. I’m so looking forward to dressing up and building happy memories with my closest. Best, Dana x
P.S If you’ve got an engagement to go to and not sure what to wear, why not consider this midi dress?…
